Fortune Tellers in PPT
This was an end of the year project for my students in grades 2-6. The kids customized with their own colors, numbers and fortunes (and pictures for my fast finishers!). Then they were cut out and folded, tutorial here.
(A make and take template for students to customize that can be done in 1-2 class sessions)
Pictographs in Excel
(Gathering and inputting data, creating a pictorial graph)
I showed this BrainPop video on Pictographs to introduce the topic. I then had my students input their data and create a single column bar graph and then open up the clip art window. Students need to click on the column they want to change 2x, so that only that column is highlighted, then click on the clip art image they want to replace it with. The image will be stretched, so double click on it and when the format menu pops up, click on "fill effects" and change to "stack."
Local Plants PowerPoint
(Taking and inserting photographs, labeling images, Plant ID)
This was a collaborative project between the classroom teacher and I. She placed students in small groups and took them on a plant walk with a checklist of plants types they needed to photograph an example of, then they created a PPT in the computer lab with me.
Door Signs in PPT
(A make and take template for students to customize that can be done in 1-2 class sessions)
Animal Kingdom Flow Chart in MS Word
(Animal Families, Comparing Differences, Chart Tool in MS Office)

(Note: Many of my ideas were inspired by other teachers, but I am not always good at remembering where I my inspiration come from. If a project looks remarkably similar to something you have posted on your site, you were probably my inspiration! Shoot me an email with the link and I will give credit where it is due:)
